Speechify is worth it when you are the listener
The people who should pay treat Speechify like a reading habit they will actually keep: the PDF on the train, the memo they will not sit down for, the page they should have finished. Worth it means $29 a month is cheaper than another week of the same document opened twice. That is a real bill for a student, an operator, or anyone who hears faster than they read. It is not a vibe. ElevenLabs wins a voice you own. Play.ht wins forty articles you will publish. Murf wins a Tuesday explainer with a timeline. Lovo, if that is the tab you meant, is still a generator — not this reader. Buying Premium because a 'best AI voice 2026' list put Speechify next to ElevenLabs is how you pay listener prices for a clone you will never train.
