Jobscan
An ATS match report for the resume you already have — keywords, not a new identity.
The Aiacent take
Jobscan is the audit. Paste the posting, upload the resume, read the gaps. Hard skills, titles, a guess at the parser. It is not a resume builder. It is the reason a builder does not have to guess alone.
It sits fourth because most people still needed to write the thing (Rezi, Kickresume) or run the search (Teal). Jobscan wins when the file exists and the silence from portals is the complaint.
A 95 match on a job you cannot do is still a no. Use the report to add real experience you buried, not to invent a stack.
Pros
- Tells you why the posting and the PDF do not match
- Works with the resume you already wrote
- LinkedIn optimizer is a useful extra, not the product
Cons
- Not a builder — you still need Teal, Rezi, or a Google Doc
- Chasing 100% is how you write a keyword salad
- Free scans run out fast if the search is real
Who it's for
- Candidates with a resume they mostly believe
- People applying through large ATS portals
- Career coaches who want a report, not another template
Who should skip it
- Anyone starting from a blank page (Rezi, Kickresume, Teal)
- Employers — this is not a screening tool
- People who will not edit after the score
What matters in the product
Match report
Keywords, titles, measurable gaps. Treat 80 as 'I used their language.' Treat 100 as a warning you overfit.
LinkedIn scan
Useful if the profile is the public resume. Not a reason to buy Jobscan if you do not apply through portals.
Verdict
The ATS scanner. Buy Jobscan when the resume exists and the portal is quiet. Buy a builder when the file does not exist. Buy Teal when you also needed a tracker.
