Teal

A job-search OS — tracker, tailored resume, and a weekly habit, not a prettier PDF.

8.2/10Best AI job-search workspaceUpdated September 19, 2026

The Aiacent take

Teal is the AI resume tool we would give someone who is actually job-searching: a living resume, a Chrome extension, a tracker, and AI that rewrites toward a specific posting. That is a workspace, not a template mill.

It leads this ranking because most 'best AI resume builders 2026' lists still sell a prettier PDF. The leak is usually tailoring and follow-up. Rezi wins a hard ATS parse. Kickresume wins a designed one-pager. Jobscan wins the keyword report.

This is the candidate side of hiring. Paradox, Eightfold, and Textio live on the HR ranking. Do not buy Teal to screen applicants.

A resume tool without a tracker is a weekend project. Teal at least admits the job is the search.

Pros

  • Resume plus job tracker in one tab — the job search is a pipeline
  • AI tailoring that starts from a role, not a magic 'improve' button
  • A weekly habit a serious search can survive

Cons

  • Not the prettiest template shop — Kickresume wins the design brief
  • Not Jobscan — a dedicated ATS match report is a different product
  • Will not apply for you, and should not

Who it's for

  • People in an active search who will tailor more than once
  • Career switchers who need a workspace, not a font
  • Anyone whose current system is a messy folder and a hope

Who should skip it

  • Employers shopping for TA software (HR ranking)
  • Designers who needed a portfolio-grade one-pager (Kickresume)
  • People who only wanted a match percentage (Jobscan)

What matters in the product

Resume builder plus AI

Paste a posting. Rewrite toward it. Empty bullets stay empty — Teal will not invent a promotion you did not get. Do not ask it to.

Job tracker

The feature that pays for the seat. A pretty resume you never follow up is a stationery project.

Verdict

The job-search workspace. Buy Teal if you will tailor and track. Buy Rezi for a harder ATS parse, Kickresume for design, Jobscan for the match report.
