The Aiacent take

Outreach is the sales-engagement OS we would buy when a defined team already lives in cadences and will add agents on top: multi-channel sequences, a dialer, meeting intel, deal health, a forecast on Pro. Amplify packages are sold by AI-credit allotment and capability, not by a homepage numeral. That is a real desk for mid-market and enterprise RevOps. It is not a $49 Apollo seat.

We score it 8.1 as the enterprise engagement OS, under Apollo (8.3) for the self-serve kit and under Gong (9.0) for coaching-from-the-tape as the only job. Clay (8.6) is still the construction kit. Mixing those up is how you request Plus pricing because a webinar said 'agentic revenue' and still needed a list on Tuesday.

The public model comes from outreach.ai/pricing, checked 19 September 2026: seat plus AI credits, no platform fee, four Amplify packages, every CTA 'Request pricing.' Credit costs for named actions sit on Outreach's own action summary. We will not invent a per-seat sticker, a Vendr median, or an Impact URL.

Pros

  • Sequences, conversation intelligence, and named agents in one engagement OS
  • Public credit actions (research 1, meeting prep 2, MCP 0.10) — the meter is not a rumor
  • Per-user pricing, no platform fee on the page Outreach will stand behind

Cons

  • No public sticker. Anyone publishing a 2026 dollar grid invented it or reprinted a buyer-report
  • Not Apollo's self-serve kit, not Clay's waterfall, not Gong's coaching-first OS
  • Credits and seats both scale. A Plus costume with nobody sequencing is how this search wastes a year

Who it's for

  • Mid-market and enterprise teams whose week is already sequences plus coaching
  • RevOps that will watch the AI metering dashboard, not a keynote credit pool
  • Shops that already rejected Apollo as too light and Gong as the wrong shape

Who should skip it

  • SMB teams that needed a list plus sequences this week (Apollo)
  • GTM engineers whose leak is the waterfall (Clay)
  • Managers who needed the tape more than the cadence (Gong)

What matters in the product

Sequences and multi-channel engagement

The reason most seats exist. Amplify Core and up. Essentials is CI-and-coaching-shaped — read the package, not the logo.

Conversation intelligence and live coaching

Transcription, playlists, live content cards. A cousin of Gong, not a replacement if coaching-from-the-tape is the only job.

AI credits and agents

Research, personalization, meeting prep, deal agent. Extra packs are a purchase. Outreach's FAQ is blunt: buy more when the meter dies.

Verdict

Buy Outreach when the expensive part is an engagement OS someone will administer. Buy Apollo when the kit has to ship this week. Do not buy a quote as a cheaper Clay.
