The Aiacent take
SeekOut is the recruiting tool we would hand a sourcer who does not have the names. Public profiles, insights, a project. That is sourcing. It is not a sequence tool, and it is not the system of record.
We ranked it second because most 'AI recruiting software' RFPs mix sourcing with CRM. If the leak is people you already talked to, Gem. If the leak is people you have never seen, SeekOut. LinkedIn Recruiter AI features stay in honorable mentions — use them if you already pay; they are not a reason to skip a real sourcing desk.
Skip SeekOut if the sourcer will paste the list into a spreadsheet and disappear. Skip it if the ATS cannot take the export. A better search will not book the onsite.

SeekOut
Figure slot. No vendor screenshot until we have a rights-cleared file.
Pros
- Search that finds people Boolean-on-LinkedIn keeps missing
- Useful on technical and diverse slates if someone will actually open the profile
- The honest sourcing row — not a CRM and not an ATS
Cons
- A list is not a pipeline. Without Gem or an ATS, SeekOut is a prettier Boolean
- Not LinkedIn Recruiter InMail. You still need a way to send
- Easy to treat a diversity insight as a hiring strategy. It is a filter
Who it's for
- Technical and specialist sourcers who have outgrown Boolean
- TA teams building slates they do not already own
- Anyone whose LinkedIn Recruiter habit is 'I cannot find them'
Who should skip it
- Teams whose leak is the sequence (Gem)
- Teams whose leak is the ATS (Ashby)
- High-volume hourly (Paradox) and internal mobility (Eightfold)
What matters in the product
Talent search
The product. If you will not open the profile, you bought a logo for the RFP.
Insights and diversity filters
Useful inputs. Not a strategy, and not a shield if the req is broken.
Projects
A slate you can share. Still not Gem. Pass it to a sequence or it dies in the project.
Verdict
The sourcing desk. Buy SeekOut when the names do not exist. Buy Gem when they do and nobody writes. Do not buy it as an ATS.
