The Aiacent take
VEED is the correct desk when the expensive part is a captioned marketing or YouTube clip someone will finish in the browser: subtitles, a translate pass, a watermark-free 1080p export, a brand kit on the higher climb. It is a bad substitute for Descript when the expensive part is cutting a show by deleting a paragraph, and a bad substitute for Opus Clip when the expensive part is a long file you will not sit with. Mixing those up is how you pay a per-seat Creator invoice and still live in a transcript you never opened.
We score it 7.6 as the browser clip editor — under Descript (8.0) on the text-based show job, under Opus Clip on long-to-short, under CapCut on a phone-first social cut. The video ranking is the scored generator-and-editor table. The YouTube-creator stack is the published-channel order. VEED vs Descript is the two-way.
Public prices: veed.io/pricing is the live cart (JS cards; region and the monthly/annual toggle move). An official VEED learn article (veed.io/learn/audio-recording-software) lists Creator at $12 per user per month and Pro at $24 per user per month. VEED's help center ('How to subscribe and manage your subscription') names Creator, Pro, and Studio as the paid web plans and says every plan is billed per seat. Confirm checkout on 20 September 2026 before you brief finance. We will not invent a leftover Basic/Business sticker, a Studio numeral we could not read as a static card on the pricing page itself, or an Impact URL.

Buy Creator when a captioned clip is the weekday job and Free's watermark is the wall. Do not buy it as Descript, Opus Clip, or CapCut.
