Fliki
Budget text-to-video with stock, voices, and a creator-shaped bill.
The Aiacent take
Fliki is the inexpensive text-to-video shop: paste a script, pick a voice, get a captioned clip with stock. For coaches, indie SaaS, and anyone testing whether video is even a channel, that is enough.
We rank it last among the scored tools because Pictory is still the more honest blog-to-video product, and because Fliki will not save a brand standard. Used as a volume assistant for short social, it is fine. Used as a creative director, it has the same 'explainer energy' problem as every tool in this price band.
If you already like Pictory, do not split the stack just to save a few dollars.
Pros
- Text-to-video at a price a solo creator will actually pay
- Voices, stock, and captions in one pass
- Fast enough for a weekly social calendar
Cons
- Looks like stock-and-voiceover if you do not recut
- Weaker blog-to-video workflow than Pictory
- Not in the conversation for enterprise avatars or cinematic gen
Who it's for
- Creators and coaches scripting faster than they edit
- Small marketing teams testing short-form without Premiere
- Anyone who needed 'good enough' clips this week
Who should skip it
- Teams with a real blog-to-video motion (Pictory)
- Enablement orgs that needed avatars (Synthesia / HeyGen)
- Anyone expecting Runway-class generation
What matters in the product
Script to video
The loop. Swap stock, tighten captions, stop there. Default output is how people learn to skip AI video.
Voices
Better than a 2022 TTS clip. Still 'explainer.' Record a human for anything on a pricing page.
Verdict
The budget text-to-video answer. Buy Fliki to test the channel. Graduate to Pictory when the input is a URL you already published, or to an avatar tool when a presenter is the point.
