Poe
A multi-model point bucket — not a cheaper ChatGPT, and not You.com's research agent.

The Aiacent take
Poe is the correct tab when the job is 'several models in one place' and you will actually switch bots and spend points. It is a bad substitute for ChatGPT when the expensive part is a mixed draft you already start there, and a bad substitute for Claude when the expensive part is a long pile. Forcing a single trophy is how you pay $19.99 for a zoo and still live in one default.
We score it 7.3 as the multi-model point bucket. You.com scores 7.6 as the multi-model research tab that is not Perplexity — a different job (agents / ARI, not a point meter). ChatGPT still wins the default writing seat (8.3). Claude still wins the careful pile (8.2).
Paid stickers come from poe.com/subscription_plans, checked 19 September 2026. Five plans. Monthly: 10,000 points/day at $4.99; 660,000 points/month at $19.99; 1.65 million at $49.99; 3.3 million at $99.99; 8.25 million at $249.99. Annual on that same page: $49.99/year ($4.17/mo), $199.99/year ($16.67/mo), $499.99/year ($41.67/mo), $999.99/year ($83.33/mo), $2,499.99/year ($208.33/mo). The page meta still says plans start at $4.17/month. Poe Help (Purchases FAQs) still says access starts at $4.99/month and subscribers can buy add-on points starting at $30 per 1 million points. Unused subscription points do not roll over unless specified. Confirm checkout — regional cards move. We will not invent a leftover Poe-Pro SKU name or an Impact URL.

Pros
- Several frontier bots in one login if you will actually pick them
- The $4.99 rung is a real cheaper-than-Plus taste when Free's daily points die
- Add-on points are a named meter — not a surprise overage costume
Cons
- The $19.99 plan sits on the same band as ChatGPT Plus and Claude Pro. You are not saving money
- A default bot you never change is a more expensive ChatGPT
- Points are not citations, not a brand desk, not Claude's pile habit
Who it's for
- People who will switch bots this week and can name the point wall
- Operators who already rejected a second $20 single-model tab
- Anyone tasting several models for $4.99 before they fund Plus and Pro together
Who should skip it
- Anyone who will leave Poe on one default bot (buy that model's $20 tab)
- Anyone whose leak is a cited brief (Perplexity) or a research agent (You.com)
- Anyone whose leak is a long pile (Claude Pro) or a repo (Cursor)
What matters in the product
Multi-model bots
OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and a long tail in one thread if you pick. A default you never change is a costume.
Compute points
The product. Daily on the cheap rung, monthly on the others. Add-ons from $30/1M on Poe Help. Not a Plus-style unlimited vibe.
Not You.com, not ChatGPT
You.com is the research-agent bench. ChatGPT is the draft. Poe is the zoo plus a meter. Mixing those is how you pay twice.
Verdict
Buy the $4.99 or $19.99 rung when you will switch bots and Free's points already died. Do not buy it as a cheaper ChatGPT, a Claude costume, or You.com.
