The naming did not help: Gemini Advanced is the 2024–2025 consumer SKU. - Gemini Advanced is a search term. The checkout SKU is Google AI Pro. Do not plan a 2024 'Advanced' numeral you saw in a blog.

Google AI Pro is worth it when the expensive part is a Doc you will not leave
The people who should pay treat Gemini like the assistant that sits in the file: Help me write in the Doc, a rewrite in Gmail, Deep Research when the brief is already a Drive dump, 5 TB because Photos and Drive were already the problem. Worth it means $19.99 a month is cheaper than another week of pasting between ChatGPT and a Doc nobody will migrate — or a second writing platform on a Google-native team. That is a real bill. It is not a vibe. It is why Gemini still sits at 7.9 as the Workspace alternative, not the default brain.
If you cannot point at the Doc or the thread you will actually open this week, you are shopping for ChatGPT with a Google badge. Free exists so you can learn that about yourself for $0. - A storage coupon. If you only needed 2 TB, do not buy Pro for the model and then never open Gemini.
The 30-day tell
After a month, either Help me write fired on a Doc someone still believes, or it did not. If the account is a graveyard of Gemini chats and you lived in ChatGPT, it was not worth it.
