Gemini is a ChatGPT alternative only for a specific buyer: you already live in Google Workspace and you wanted the model that can see the Doc. Forcing it as a generic 'best chatbot' is how you get a worse writing tab and a confused procurement thread. ChatGPT vs Gemini is the two-way, winner-by-job version.

Inside Gmail and Docs it earns the seat. As a campaign desk it loses to Jasper. As a careful long-form partner it loses to Claude. As a cited researcher it loses to Perplexity.
