Brevo (the company formerly called Sendinblue) is the email ranking's honest cheaper send. Email, SMS, WhatsApp, a CRM-shaped contact view, and AI for subject lines and drafts. The teams that like it were about to leave Mailchimp over price. The teams that hate it expected Klaviyo segments on a $9 plan.
We ranked it fourth on purpose. It is a real product, not a filler logo. It is also not the ecommerce OS, and it is not the B2B hub. If a vendor pitches Brevo as 'Klaviyo with AI, cheaper,' ask what happens to predictive revenue and the Shopify graph. That conversation belongs on the ecommerce ranking.
Pros
- A serious free tier and SMS without pretending to be a boutique ESP
- AI subject lines and content at a price a 2-person shop will actually keep
- Honest Mailchimp alternative when the complaint is the bill, not the craft
Cons
- The customer graph is not Klaviyo, and the CRM is not HubSpot
- Deliverability and design still take work — cheap is not a strategy
- Enterprise lifecycle and predictive ecommerce are why people still pay Klaviyo

Multichannel send
Email plus SMS is the reason to shortlist it. AI will not fix an unsuppressed list.
AI content
Useful variants. Weak strategy. Same rule as every ESP: review the sentence that sounds like a person.
Verdict
The affordable email-and-SMS seat. Buy it when the leak is the bill. Do not buy it because someone said it has AI and Klaviyo does not.
