Mailchimp
The newsletter tool people already have — now with Mailchimp AI on top.
The Aiacent take
Mailchimp is the email tool most 'we need AI email' tickets already own. Intuit's Mailchimp AI will draft a campaign, rewrite a subject line, and suggest a segment. That is leverage on a simple program. It is not a reason to skip Klaviyo if abandoned checkout and SMS are how you print money.
We ranked it third on the email list on purpose. It is the right buy when the job is a newsletter and a handful of automations. It is the wrong buy when someone pitched 'AI email' and you needed an ecommerce CRM. Brevo if the objection is price. HubSpot if the objection is a B2B pipeline.
Pros
- The default inbox for teams that are not ready for a marketing OS
- Mailchimp AI is useful for subject lines, content variants, and a first draft — on a list you already have
- Templates and a brand kit beat a blank Klaviyo canvas for a monthly send
Cons
- Predictive segments and Shopify-class flows still trail Klaviyo
- Bills and product complexity jump once you outgrow the newsletter job
- B2B CRM and multi-channel lifecycle are a stretch — that is HubSpot
Who it's for
- Creators, local businesses, and catalogs whose program is still a send calendar
- Teams already in Mailchimp who wanted AI on the campaign they already write
Who should skip it
- DTC brands that live on flows, suppression, and SMS (Klaviyo)
- B2B teams whose email has to sit on a CRM (HubSpot)
What matters in the product
Campaigns and automations
The product. AI is a helper on a send you already understand. Empty offers still look like empty offers.
Mailchimp AI
Subject lines, content, and a first draft. Review everything that sounds like a person wrote it. Customers can tell.
Verdict
The simple email seat. Stay if the program is a newsletter. Leave when owned channels became the P&L — that is Klaviyo, and the email ranking says so.
