Cal.com

Open scheduling plus Cal.ai phone minutes — not a Calendly costume, and not a Motion planner.

The Aiacent take

Cal.com is the correct desk when the expensive part is a booking link someone will actually use: event types, round-robin on Teams, a company subdomain on Organizations, and — only if you name it — Cal.ai phone minutes at $0.29. It is a bad substitute for Motion when the expensive part is an AI-planned week, and a bad substitute for Calendly Plus when the leftover job is Notetaker and Callie inside a Calendly you already pay for. Mixing those up is how you pay Organizations at $28 a seat and still live in a calendar nobody books.

We score it 7.8 as the open scheduling plus Cal.ai pick — under Motion on the planner job, next to it when the leftover job is the link. Is Cal.com AI worth it is the subscription. The founder stack is the order.

Public prices come from cal.com/pricing and cal.com/ai, checked 20 September 2026. Individuals: free forever — unlimited event types and calendars, payments, HubSpot/Salesforce sync, Calendly import. Teams: $12 per user per month billed yearly (save 25%), 14-day trial — round-robin, routing forms, badge off. Organizations: $28 per user per month billed yearly — SSO, SCIM, HIPAA, company subdomain. Enterprise is a quote. Cal.ai: $0.29 per minute (29 credits). Official help: individuals get no included credits; Teams 750 per member per month; Organizations 1,000; Enterprise unlimited. We will not invent a leftover Calendly sticker as a Cal.com SKU, or an Impact URL.

Cal.com

Best for. Operators who will publish a booking link this week and may later pay for Cal.ai minutes.

Skip if. You needed Motion to own the week, or Calendly Plus is already the AI meeting desk.

No vendor screenshot until a rights-cleared file exists at public/figures/cal-com.png. We do not hotlink app UIs.

Pros

  • Free forever for one person — unlimited event types, a real Calendly alternative without a card
  • Cal.ai is priced in public: $0.29 a minute, 29 credits, named allotments on Teams and Orgs
  • Teams and Organizations stickers are on cal.com/pricing

Cons

  • Cal.ai is not included for individuals — you buy credits. Treating Free as an AI phone desk is folklore
  • Not Motion. If the leak is a planned week, you bought a booking link
  • Self-host exists as a different conversation. This review is the hosted SaaS ladder

Who it's for

  • Founders who will publish a booking link this week
  • Teams that will actually use round-robin, not just screenshot it
  • Anyone who can name Cal.ai minutes, not just 'AI scheduling'

Who should skip it

  • Anyone whose week is a planner OS (Motion — is Motion worth it)
  • Anyone whose leftover job is Calendly Notetaker / Callie already on the invoice
  • Anyone who has not used the free individual link

What matters in the product

Booking link and event types

The Free product. Unlimited. If you will not publish the link, you bought a demo.

Teams round-robin

The $12 climb. Shared availability, managed events, routing forms. You are buying the pool, not a prettier link.

Cal.ai phone agent

$0.29 a minute. Credits on Teams and Orgs. Individuals buy them. Do not treat Free as an AI receptionist.

Verdict

Stay on Free until round-robin or Cal.ai minutes are named. Do not buy Teams as Motion, and do not buy Cal.ai so a Calendly invoice felt lonely.
