Motion

An AI calendar that turns the task list into the week — not a free Notion Calendar costume.

The Aiacent take

Motion is the correct desk when the expensive part is a week the bot will actually fill: tasks become blocks, meetings get a slot, the planner is the product. It is a bad substitute for Notion Calendar when the expensive part is a free shared calendar you already have, and a bad substitute for Reclaim when the expensive part is defending focus time on Google or Outlook. Mixing those up is how you pay a per-seat Pro AI invoice and still live in a task list you never scheduled.

We score it 7.8 as the AI calendar planner — under Reclaim on the focus-time job, under Notion AI on the notes-and-docs job, next to ClickUp AI when the leak is a work OS you already pay for. The productivity ranking is the scored table. Is Motion worth it is the subscription. Reclaim vs Motion is the two-way.

Public prices come from usemotion.com/pricing, checked 20 September 2026. The page we fetched defaulted to the Teams annual toggle: Pro AI $19 per seat per month with 7,500 credits; Business AI $29 per seat per month with 15,000 credits; overage printed at 25 cents and 19 cents per 100 credits. The same page has an Individuals toggle and a monthly toggle — those cards are higher than the $19 / $29 screenshot. There is no permanent free plan on that page. We will not invent a leftover Individual numeral we could not read as a static card, a Clockwise SKU, or an Impact URL.

Motion

Best for. Operators who will live in one AI planner: tasks, meetings, and a week the bot actually fills.

Skip if. You needed free Notion Calendar, a focus-time defender (Reclaim), or a $20 ChatGPT list.

No vendor screenshot until a rights-cleared file exists at public/figures/motion.png. We do not hotlink app UIs.

Pros

  • The product is the auto-planned week — tasks, meetings, a calendar you will actually open
  • Pro AI on the Teams annual card is a named first climb, not a leftover Basic costume
  • Credits and overage are printed: 7,500 / 15,000, then cents per 100

Cons

  • No permanent free plan. A 7-day trial with a card is not Notion Calendar
  • Not Reclaim. If the leak is focus time on a calendar you already have, you bought a planner OS
  • Individuals and monthly toggles are higher than the $19 Teams annual card finance screenshots

Who it's for

  • Solo operators and small teams who will live in one planner this week
  • Anyone who already rejected a free Notion Calendar as the auto-scheduler
  • Teams that will actually let Motion move the blocks, not just screenshot a Gantt

Who should skip it

  • Anyone whose week is a free calendar they already share (Notion Calendar)
  • Anyone whose week is focus time on a calendar they will not leave (Reclaim)
  • Anyone whose leak is a $20 task list (ChatGPT — free AI tools)

What matters in the product

AI Calendar and task planner

The product. If you will not let it place the week, you bought a prettier to-do list. Credits meter chat, docs, and the heavier AI — not every drag of a block.

Credits and overage

Official Teams annual cards: 7,500 on Pro AI, 15,000 on Business AI. Overage is printed. Do not treat $19 as unlimited generate.

Business AI extras

Capacity planning, dashboards, Gantt, time tracking, permissions, central billing. You are buying the team desk, not a prettier Pro.

Verdict

Buy Pro AI when an auto-planned week is the weekday job and Notion Calendar is already the wrong seat. Do not buy it as Reclaim, Notion Calendar, or a $20 list.
