Salesforce
The enterprise sales CRM — Agentforce sits on the record, not instead of it.

The Aiacent take
Salesforce is the CRM we would buy when the company already treats the opportunity as the source of truth: leads, accounts, quotes, a forecast a VP will defend, an AppExchange row someone can name. Agentforce, Einstein-era scoring, Slack, Tableau — those sit on the record. They do not invent it. Mixing those up is how an SMB buys Core because a keynote said AI CRM and still needed a pipeline a founder can run.
We score it 8.0 as the enterprise sales CRM, not the first hub. HubSpot still wins a smaller team that needed marketing and sales in one login they will actually open (8.2 as the B2B marketing hub; this page is the CRM fight). Apollo still wins a list plus sequences this week. Gong still wins coaching from the tape. Agentforce is scored next door as the native agent layer.
Public list prices come from salesforce.com/editions-pricing/sales-cloud/, checked 19 September 2026: Free Suite $0; Starter Suite $25 per user per month (monthly or annual); Pro Suite $100 per user per month (annual on the grid we checked); Sales Cloud Core $195, Advanced $395, Max $550, billed annually. Confirm checkout — editions rename. We will not invent an Einstein 2024 sticker or an Impact URL.
Product look
Salesforce
Figure slot. No vendor screenshot until we have a rights-cleared file.
Pros
- The record other enterprise tools still argue from — AppExchange, quoting, forecast
- Starter Suite is a real public SMB rung at $25, not a hidden 'call sales' wall
- Agentforce is a named layer on the same objects, not a second CRM costume
Cons
- An admin is part of the product. Five people with no owner will implement folklore
- Core at $195 is not an SMB starter, and Max at $550 is a platform conversation
- Not HubSpot's marketing-plus-CRM habit, not Apollo's list, not Gong's tape
Who it's for
- Mid-market and enterprise teams whose week is already Salesforce
- SMBs that will staff an admin and already outgrew a spreadsheet hub
- Shops adding Agentforce as a named job on objects they trust
Who should skip it
- Five-person teams that needed Free-to-Starter without a specialist (HubSpot)
- Outbound teams that needed a list this week (Apollo) or a waterfall (Clay)
- Managers who needed coaching from the call (Gong), not another object
What matters in the product
Sales Cloud objects
Leads, accounts, contacts, opportunities, quotes, forecast. The product. Starter is the SMB taste. Core is the mid-market desk.
Starter and Pro Suite
The public SMB / lower-mid rungs. $25 and $100. Built-in flows, light marketing, quoting on Pro. Not Sales Cloud Max.
Agentforce on the record
A second purchase for most editions. Max includes Agentforce for Sales. Is Salesforce Agentforce worth it is that subscription.
Verdict
Buy Salesforce when the expensive part is an enterprise record you will staff. Buy HubSpot when a smaller team needed one hub. Do not buy Core as a $25 Starter costume.
