Salesforce Agentforce

Agents on Salesforce objects — Flex Credits, not a $20 chatbot with a cloud badge.

7.9/10Best Salesforce-native agent layer

The Aiacent take

Agentforce is the Salesforce-native agent layer: customer-facing and employee-facing actions on records you already have. Foundations lets you build. Flex Credits meter the action. The $125 Sales / Service / Field Service add-on is unmetered employee usage. The $5 user license is company-wide metered access. Mixing those SKUs up is how finance buys 'AI' and still has no named job.

We score it 7.9 as the native agent desk, not a CRM trophy and not a revenue-intelligence platform. Salesforce the CRM scores 8.0 next door. Gong still wins the tape (9.0). HubSpot still wins a smaller hub. ChatGPT still wins a $20 draft.

Public list prices come from salesforce.com/agentforce/pricing/ and Salesforce's Flex Credits rate card (updated 31 August 2026), checked 19 September 2026. Confirm the order form. We will not invent an Einstein Conversations leftover or a typical-credit lab.

Pros

  • The agent runs on the same objects sales already opens — cases, leads, knowledge
  • Foundations is a real $0 builder taste; Flex Credits publish a rate card
  • Digital Wallet is included for usage you can actually watch

Cons

  • Empty properties still invent last quarter's ICP. An agent will happily act on folklore
  • Not Gong, not Apollo, not HubSpot Breeze as a cheaper CRM
  • Unused Flex Credits do not roll over. A keynote pool is how this search wastes a year

Who it's for

  • Salesforce admins whose leak is a named action on a trusted object
  • Service and sales teams that will watch Digital Wallet, not a keynote pool
  • Shops already on Sales Cloud that can point at the case, the lead, or the knowledge article

Who should skip it

  • Teams that do not already live in Salesforce
  • Buyers who needed a first CRM (HubSpot) or a $20 outline (ChatGPT Plus)
  • Managers who needed coaching from the call (Gong) or a list this week (Apollo)

What matters in the product

Foundations and Builder

Prompt Builder, Agent Script, Coworker, Vibes at $0. Enough to learn whether anyone will name an action. Not a production agent desk.

Flex Credits and Conversations

$500 per 100,000 credits. Standard action 20 credits. Voice 30. Conversations $2 each — customer-facing, not in the same org as Flex.

User license and cloud add-ons

$5 per user per month for metered company-wide access. $125 per user for unmetered employee agents on Sales, Service, or Field Service. Agentforce 1 Editions include the add-on plus 2.5M Flex Credits per org per year.

Verdict

Buy Agentforce when the expensive part is an action on a Salesforce record you already trust. Do not buy it as a cheaper Gong, a first CRM, or a $20 chatbot.
