Pictory pricing (2026): Starter vs Professional vs Team, and who should buy
Pictory Starter is about $25 a month billed annually. Professional is the honest solo seat. Team is a shared minute pool. The expensive mistake is buying minutes for a blog you have not written.

- How we rank
Pictory
7.6/10Best for blog-to-video
Turn a blog or script into a decent social video.
Pictory does one job well: it turns a script or URL into a captioned video with stock b-roll and a voice. For teams sitting on a blog archive and a social calendar, that is a real bottleneck-remover.
- Best for
- Content marketers who need lots of acceptable video, not a film.
- Skip if
- You have a designer, a real editor, or brand-film standards.
Why it ranks
- Blog-to-video is genuinely faster than opening Premiere
- Captions, stock, and voiceover in one pass
- Good enough for YouTube explainers and LinkedIn native video
Watch-outs
- Looks like AI video if you do not swap stock and tighten pacing
- Not a substitute for product shoots or brand films
- Voiceovers still have that 'explainer energy'

Figure slot. No vendor screenshot until we have a rights-cleared file.
People search 'Pictory pricing' because they want a number. The number is not the hard part. Pictory publishes Starter, Professional, Team, and a quote for Enterprise. If you do not name whether you are recutting posts you already wrote, or shopping a presenter for training, you will pay for export minutes you will not use — or stay on Starter and then bounce off a product that lives on Professional the week you needed a custom avatar.
This is a cost page, not a feature dump. Public list prices below were checked against pictory.ai/pricing on 19 September 2026. They change. We do not invent an Enterprise sticker, a minute-multiplier lab, or a partner URL. The full review is /tools/pictory. Pictory vs Synthesia is the two-way if marketing and L&D are both in the room. Synthesia alternatives is the leave-the-avatar-studio guide. The video ranking is the scored table.
Pictory AI cost in 2026, at a glance
| Plan | Public price | Export minutes | What you are actually buying |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | ~$29/mo, or ~$25/mo billed annually (~$300/year) | 200/mo, or 2,400/year up front on annual | One user, one brand kit, 5 GB, a taste of stock-and-caption |
| Professional | ~$59/mo, or ~$35/mo billed annually (~$420/year) | 600/mo, or 7,200/year up front on annual | The honest solo seat: 5 brand kits, custom avatars, voice clone, advanced AI |
| Team | ~$199/mo, or ~$119/mo billed annually (~$1,428/year) | 1,800/mo shared, or 21,600/year shared on annual | 3+ users, a shared minute pool, 10 brand kits, onboarding — not three private copies |
| Enterprise | Custom quote; 10+ users | Custom | SSO, Pictory Central / SCORM, a success manager, done-for-you video |
- No permanent free plan. There is a 14-day trial. Cancel it if you were only window-shopping. Pictory's own FAQ says paid subscriptions are not refunded.
- Annual plans dump the year's export minutes up front. Monthly minutes reset. Unused monthly minutes do not roll.
- AI credits are a second meter — images, generative clips, avatar seconds. Heavy generative use can add packs on top of the seat. We will not invent a credit price.
- Starter is one person and one brand kit. A second login that has to collaborate is a Team conversation, not a checkout toggle.
Buy Starter if you are proving the habit, not running a calendar
Starter is the honest taste. One user, a brand kit, 200 export minutes a month (or 2,400 up front if you pay the year). Enough to recut a handful of posts and learn whether 'explainer energy' is a problem you can edit out. It is not enough if you already know this is the weekly motion — you will hit the kit cap, the stock library ceiling, or the missing custom-avatar row.
Pay monthly if you are still proving the channel. Pay annually if the archive is already real and you will export. The ~$4 monthly gap on Starter is small; the trap is locking a year because a demo Reel looked fine. Skip Starter if you needed a second collaborator, a custom avatar, or voice clone. Those are Professional and Team features wearing a Starter-shaped hope.
- Best for: one marketer or coach sitting on a few posts, testing whether video is even a channel
- Skip if: you already ship weekly recuts, need a custom face, or two people have to share a timeline
- Honest watch-out: Starter will not become a team studio if you just buy more months
Buy Professional when you are the only person who has to recut the blog
Professional is the honest self-serve plan for a working calendar. One person, five brand kits, 600 export minutes a month (7,200 up front on annual), custom avatars, voice cloning, the longer-summary tools. Annual at about $35/month is the number most 'Pictory AI cost' tickets should have compared to Starter — not $25 versus a dream.
Buy it when the input is a URL or a script you already wrote and the output is captioned LinkedIn or YouTube, not a film. Skip it if you needed a presenter on a training script — that is Synthesia, and Pictory vs Synthesia is that two-way. Skip it if contractors need their own login in a shared workspace. That is Team. Empty brand kit on Professional is still a $35 chatbot with stock.
- Best for: one in-house content person who will recut, swap b-roll, and read the captions
- Skip if: the job is L&D with a face (Synthesia), personalized outbound (HeyGen), or a cinematic ad (a human / Runway)
- Honest watch-out: more minutes will not invent a post. Buying Professional because the blog is empty is how this category earns screenshots
Buy Team when a second login, and a shared minute pool, is the job
Team is 3+ users, a shared 1,800-minute monthly pool (21,600 on annual), ten brand kits, onboarding. It is not three private copies of Professional. Minutes are shared. That is either obvious or a fight the first busy week. Annual at about $119/month is a real content-ops line. Monthly at $199 is how you prove the bench before you lock the year.
Buy it when several people recut the same archive and already fight brand-kit drift. Do not buy it because Professional felt lonely and a sales deck said 'collaborate.' Two people who can share a calendar invite are not a Team ticket. Enterprise is the SSO / SCORM / Pictory Central conversation for 10+ users — we will not guess that sticker.
- Best for: a content bench that already recuts weekly and needs one workspace
- Skip if: you have not filled Starter's brand kit, or the leak is a presenter (Synthesia) or a personalized clip (HeyGen)
- Honest watch-out: a shared minute pool will not invent an editor. Default stock at Team prices is just more expensive explainer energy
Pictory vs Synthesia vs Fliki, as a bill
Pictory Professional annual is about $35. Synthesia Starter is $29 monthly (about $18 billed annually) — and that $18 buys about ten video minutes a month, because Synthesia meters a presenter. They are not substitutes. Pictory is a production assistant for a post. Synthesia is a face on a script. Mixing the bills is how enablement software ends up on a social calendar. Pictory vs Synthesia is the job split. Synthesia pricing is the minute-meter version.
Fliki is the cheaper text-to-video taste — typically from about $21/month billed annually on the video ranking. Buy Fliki to test the channel. Graduate to Pictory when the input is a URL you already published. Do not split the stack to save a few dollars if you already like Pictory. HeyGen is a GTM personalization seat, not a Pictory discount.
What we are not pricing
- AI-credit add-on packs. If the quote has a usage line, read it. We will not invent a credit multiplier.
- ElevenLabs minutes inside the plan. They are a cap, not a reason to buy.
- A 'Creator' tier from an old blog. The public grid we checked is Starter / Professional / Team / Enterprise.
Most 'what does Pictory cost' tickets are a Professional ticket, a Team ticket, or a Synthesia ticket. The pricing page is doing too much work if you have not named the input.— Aiacent pricing, 2026
Verdict
One person, a blog you already write, weekly recuts: Professional, annual if the habit is already real. Still proving the channel: Starter monthly, then leave if you will not recut. Several people, a shared workspace: Team. A presenter on a training script: do not buy Pictory — Synthesia is the seat, and Pictory vs Synthesia says so. Trying not to buy the avatar studio at all: Synthesia alternatives. Then read the video ranking if you want the score next to HeyGen and Fliki.
