The Aiacent take
Airtable AI (Omni, field agents, AI automations) is the correct assistant to buy when the work is already a base: a question on the table, a field that categorizes feedback, a document that has to become records. Building with Omni is free. Asking the data spends credits. That is a real 2026 seat for an ops or marketing ops desk that will not export the base into ChatGPT every Monday.
We score it 7.6 as the Airtable-native layer, next to Coda AI (7.5) for the doc and under Notion AI (8.0) for the wiki. ChatGPT still wins the blank page. ClickUp still wins a ClickUp list.

The old per-seat add-on
Gone. Articles that still sell Airtable AI as $8–$10 extra per user are stale.
Verdict
Buy it as an upgrade to a base you already run. Do not buy Airtable because the homepage said Omni, and do not buy credits as a cheaper ChatGPT.
