Buffer is a scheduler that added AI. That sentence is the review. Most 'best AI social media tools' lists bury the calendar under twenty creative apps. The leak for a lot of teams is still: nothing is queued, and Thursday at 4pm is a scramble.
We ranked it first on the social page because the job most buyers actually have is a queue. Ideas and caption drafts help. They will not invent a content program. Predis.ai is the social-native creative shop. Pictory is blog-to-Reel. Opus Clip is long-to-short. Buffer is the board those assets land on.
If you already live in Sprout or Hootsuite and the calendar is not the pain, stay. Switching schedulers to get a slightly nicer caption model is how social projects go sideways.
Most 'we need AI for social' tickets are a Buffer ticket, a Pictory ticket, or a designer ticket. The word AI is doing too much work.

Verdict
The 2026 default when the calendar is the leak. Add Predis, Pictory, or Opus when the assets are the leak. Do not buy a second scheduler because it said AI louder.
