Lovable is the chat-to-app seat we would buy when the deliverable is a running web app a teammate can click, and nobody asked for a local toolchain. Prompt, iterate, publish, custom domain on Pro. The teams that like it treat credits like a construction budget. The teams that hate it expected an AI-native editor for the repo they already have.
We score it 7.8 as the chat-to-shipped web app, not as a Cursor-killer trophy. Cursor scores 8.6 as the AI-native workspace. Replit Agent scores 8.0 as the browser agent that hosts. GitHub Copilot scores 8.2 as Tab in the IDE you will not leave. Mixing those up is how you pay Pro because a list said 'v0 vs Lovable vs Cursor' and still paste from ChatGPT.

What matters in the product
Prompt to a running app
The product. Chat, preview, publish. Review what it shipped. Lovable is not a license to skip a human on anything customer-facing.
Credits, not seats
Pro and Business scale by monthly credits. Unlimited members share the pool. Daily build credits (5/day) sit on top. Unused paid credits expire — monthly plans two months after issue, per Lovable's own pricing FAQ.
Code you can take
Git sync is on Free. Download code is a paid-row fact on Lovable's plan table. That is how you leave. It is not a reason to skip Cursor if the repo already exists.
Verdict
Buy Lovable when the expensive part is a running web app from a prompt. Buy Cursor when the expensive part is the repo. Do not buy it as a cheaper IDE, and do not climb to Business so Pro felt incomplete.
