Is Krisp worth it in 2026? A noise-cancel decision, not a cheaper Otter
Krisp is worth it when dirty audio is the named leak. It is not worth it as a cheaper Otter, a free recorder, or a Fireflies archive. Core is the honest Meeting AI seat. Here is the split — and the skip-ifs.

Krisp
7.5/10Best noise-cancel meeting seat
Noise-cancel first, meeting notes second — not a cheaper Otter.
Krisp is the correct seat when the expensive part is audio other people can hear — kids, HVAC, a café, the other side of a shared call — and you will actually leave it on. Meeting notes and accent conversion sit on the same Meeting AI ladder. They are not a reason to skip Otter if someone glances at live captions, or Fathom if the card was the fight.
- Best for
- Operators whose expensive leak is dirty audio — then a bot-free note if that habit already survived.
- Skip if
- You needed live captions (Otter), a free recorder (Fathom), a CRM archive (Fireflies), or a contact-center SKU.
Why it ranks
- Noise cancellation is the product, not a toggle buried under a recap
- Bot-free note-taker is a real Meeting AI row if you will actually keep it on
- Call Center is a named SKU — you can refuse to buy Meeting Core as a CX costume
Watch-outs
- The live Meeting AI grid starts with a 7-day trial, not a leftover free-forever desktop app
- Core is not Otter, Fathom, or Fireflies. Buying it as any of those is how this page exists
- FAQ leftover 'Pro / Business' names are not the Core / Advanced cards we opened

Otter.ai
7.9/10Best affordable meeting notes
Meeting notes that sales, product, and CS will actually search.
Otter is the meeting-notes tool we recommend when you are not buying a revenue-intelligence platform. Transcripts, summaries, action items, a searchable archive. Live captions are still the habit other notetakers get compared to. For product and CS, that is often the whole job. Otter alternatives is the buyer-intent version if you are trying not to buy it.
- Best for
- Teams that live in Zoom and cannot pay Gong prices.
- Skip if
- You already standardized on Gong or a dedicated revenue-intelligence stack.
Why it ranks
- Reliable transcripts and summaries at a sane price
- Good enough for product, CS, and light sales coaching
- Live notes people can share into Slack
Watch-outs
- Not Gong — deal intelligence is not the point
- Speaker labels still slip on crowded calls
- Yet another bot in the meeting if you do not set norms

People search 'is Krisp worth it' after a dog walked through a board meeting, or after finance asked why a noise-cancel tab costs as much as a $20 chat seat. Those are different tickets. If you do not name whether you needed clean audio, live captions in the room, unlimited tape on a $0 card, or last quarter in HubSpot, you will buy Core as a third notetaker and still ask people to mute — or skip a working NC habit because Otter's live transcript looked more like 'meeting AI' once.
This is a buyer decision, not a Webby recap. On Aiacent, Krisp scores 7.5 as the noise-cancel meeting seat. Otter scores 7.9 as live notes. Fireflies scores 7.8 as the archive. Fathom scores 7.7 as the free recorder. Otter pricing and is Otter worth it are the caption bills. Fireflies pricing is the archive-and-credit bill. The transcription ranking is the scored table. Read this one if the question is the Krisp subscription.
The public ladder we checked
| Plan | Public price (confirm cart) | Who it is for |
|---|---|---|
| Free Trial (Meeting AI) | $0 for 7 days — no credit card on the card we opened | A taste of NC, transcription, recording, and AI notes. Limited accent conversion on that card. |
| Core | $16/user/month, or $8/user/month on the annual toggle | Unlimited NC + bot-free AI note-taker, 1 hr/day accent conversion, 10 GB, MCP / ChatGPT / Claude / Cursor integrations on the card we opened |
| Advanced | $30/user/month, or $15/user/month on the annual toggle | 4 hr/day speaker-side accent conversion, unlimited listener-side, Salesforce / ConnectWise, manager view, 60 GB |
| Enterprise (Meeting AI) | Talk to sales | SSO/SCIM, on-device private transcription, SOC 2 report access, BAA row for 100+ seats, unlimited storage |
| Call Center Core | $15/agent/month billed annually | Agent + customer NC, voice isolation, after-call summary, SSO/SCIM. Not Meeting Core. |
- Core annual at $8 is still a meeting-AI seat. You are not buying 'just NC' as a leftover consumer app. Krisp's own FAQ says there is no separate noise-cancel-only plan — disable the Meeting Assistant if that is all you wanted.
- Advanced is accent conversion, CRM admin, and storage — not a darker Core. If you cannot name the accent or Salesforce wall, you are not an Advanced buyer.
- Call Center Core at $15 an agent billed annually is a contact-center invoice. Budgeting it as Meeting Core is how a founder funds a CX SKU.
- Volume discounts start in the FAQ around 50 members. We will not invent the curve.
The worth-it test
| If this is true | Krisp is | Buy instead |
|---|---|---|
| Dirty audio is the weekday leak — kids, HVAC, a café, the other side of the call — and you will leave NC on | Worth it — that is the product. Core after the 7-day trial | Stay. Do not also buy Otter so the recap felt official. |
| You are tasting whether anyone will keep a desktop NC app on | Not worth paying yet — the 7-day trial is the taste | Leave the trial the week you still mute people by hand |
| The job is live captions in the room — someone glances while it happens | Not worth it as a captioner | Otter. Is Otter worth it. Otter pricing. |
| The card was the objection and you needed tape plus a recap | Not worth it as the first recorder | Fathom. The free plan still records. Is Fathom worth it. |
| Last quarter has to be searchable and someone will connect HubSpot | Not worth it as an archive | Fireflies. Fireflies pricing. Is Fireflies worth it. |
| Accent conversion or Salesforce / ConnectWise admin is already the wall on Core | Core is not enough; Advanced might be | Advanced — only after Core already survived a month |
| A contact center needed agent-side NC, isolation, or after-call summary at seat scale | Not the Meeting AI seat | Call Center Core at $15/agent/year-toggle. Talk to Krisp. Not this page's Core. |
| The meeting is a deal and coaching is the operating system | Not worth it | Gong. Is Gong worth it. A $15 Advanced seat will not invent a coaching culture. |
Krisp is worth it when the expensive part is audio other people can hear
The people who should pay treat Krisp like a studio button: it sits on the machine, it kills the dishwasher, and the other side stops asking you to repeat yourself. Worth it means $8 a month on the annual Core toggle — or $16 month-to-month — is cheaper than another week of 'sorry, dog' on a customer call. That is a real bill on a WFH or hybrid desk. It is not a vibe. It is why we score Krisp 7.5 as the noise-cancel meeting seat instead of folding it into Otter's row.
If you cannot point at the call where dirty audio was the actual problem this month, you are shopping for a notetaker with a noise-cancel badge. The 7-day trial exists so you can learn that about yourself for $0. Krisp's FAQ says you can disable the Meeting Assistant if all you wanted was clean audio. Do that. Do not buy Core because a homepage said AI notes.
- Best for: operators who will leave NC on, and a bot-free note if that habit already survived
- Skip if: you needed live captions, a free recorder, a CRM archive, or a contact-center SKU
- Honest watch-out: a default you never enable is a more expensive mute button
Krisp is not worth it as a cheaper Otter, Fathom, or Fireflies
Otter still wins when someone glances at the live transcript while the meeting happens. Is Otter worth it. Otter pricing is the ~$8.33 annual Pro / ~$16.99 monthly ladder we already checked on otter.ai/pricing (19 September 2026). If that sentence is the leak, Krisp Core is not worth it as a substitute — you will cancel noise and still have no captions. Buy Otter.
The same no applies if the card was the fight. Fathom's free individual plan still records and transcribes — fathom.video/pricing, checked the same day. Is Fathom worth it. If the leak is last quarter in HubSpot, Fireflies Pro at $10 a user billed annually is the archive seat (guide.fireflies.ai, the same ladder as Fireflies pricing). Buying Krisp Advanced because Fathom felt unserious is how you pay $15–$30 for a bot-free costume and still cannot find March.
When Advanced or Call Center is the real question
Advanced is $30 a month or $15 on the annual toggle. You are buying more accent-conversion hours, Salesforce and ConnectWise, manager view, company deal grouping, and 60 GB. Buy it when Core's accent or admin wall is already the weekday job. Skip it so the homepage felt enterprise. Skip it as a prettier note-taker.
Call Center Core is $15 per agent per month billed annually on the same pricing page. Agent and customer noise cancellation, voice isolation, after-call summary, SSO/SCIM, a live dashboard. That is how a BPO or a large support floor buys Krisp. It is not how a founder should buy Meeting Core. Mixing the two is how finance sees a $15 agent invoice and asks why you also have an $8 tab.
What 'worth it' is not
- A word-error-rate lab or a Webby trophy. We did not bake off secret cafés or invent a review count.
- A leftover free-forever consumer SKU that was not a checkout card on krisp.ai/pricing the day we looked.
- A leftover Pro / Business numeral from the FAQ. The live Meeting AI cards say Core and Advanced.
- A coupon hunt. No invented Impact or via= IDs.
- A reason to skip Otter when live captions are the job.
The 30-day tell
After a month, either you left NC on and someone stopped asking you to mute, or you lived in Otter and Fathom anyway. If Core sat as a third login, it was not worth $8. If the week started with clean audio instead of a headset hunt, it was. That is the whole audit. Otter under a Krisp conversation can coexist while you prove the button. That is allowed. Is Otter worth it tells you which tab the leftover captions belong in.
Krisp is worth it when the expensive part is audio other people can hear. It is not worth it when one person wanted a cheaper Otter, a free recorder, or a contact-center SKU wearing a Core badge. Mixing those up is how you pay $8 and still ask people to mute.— Aiacent, 2026
Verdict
Worth it: dirty audio is the named leak and the 7-day trial already survived — Core at $16 a month or $8 on the annual toggle. Advanced only after that accent or Salesforce wall is named. Call Center only if the invoice is agents. Not worth it: live captions (is Otter worth it — Otter pricing), tape on a $0 card (is Fathom worth it), last quarter in HubSpot (Fireflies pricing), coaching a sales floor (is Gong worth it). Then read the transcription ranking if you want the scored desk next to Otter, Fireflies, and Fathom.
